Academics have always been a major part of my life. I've always hated disappointing people whether it be my family or my teachers. I also get good grades because I want to, one of the best things in life is when you study really hard for a test and you ace it. Ever since I went to a Michigan Football game with my dad when I was little I've wanted to be able to sit in the student section. When I got older I found out how hard it is to get into U of M, so I work extra hard to reach that goal.

The Cubo project was a geometry project that involved making three denominational models and finding the surface area and volume of each. After we calculated these my partner and I wrote a paper describing our findings and methods. We worked really hard and efficiently on this project so we could get both extra credits, we earned over 100 percent. This assignment taught me that a project won't be stressful if you don't procrastinate. This relates to my career because a lot of engineering is done by creating models and finding the math behind it.
The Function Art project was done by me in my sophomore year. The assignment included making a picture out of different functions that were scaled and translated in different ways. This project taught me to be very meticulous because the functions had to be in a very specific place in order for the guitar to come to shape.

My Sophomore Research was testing the change in temperature of Urea, Potassium Chloride, and Ammonium Nitrate When Reacting With Water. My partners and I had to do a great amount of research, conducted our experiment, and then analyzed the results. This was my second major research paper and I learned so I had a lot more experience this time. Doing this research project gave me many valuable skills that I will need in life including conducting the experiment and time management.
As a group of three my partners and I worked together to make a proposal for a bridge competition. The proposal including lots of research, a test bridge and what we could do to improve our bridge. This project taught me teamwork skills because we had to figure out how to put everyone's different ideas into one bridge; however, we did it successfully because our bridge held the most weight in our grade.
